Can Several Presses Be Managed from One Workflow?

When a printer operates more than one digital press, managing each machine separately can limit flexibility. Cluster printing connects several presses to a shared workflow so that jobs can be distributed and monitored from one point.
In a cluster configuration, a central controller manages job queues, data processing and press status. If one press is busy or under maintenance, another press can take the next job without manual file handling.
ERP integration extends this to order management, paper planning and production reporting. Job data can flow from the ERP system to the press cluster, and production status can be fed back for scheduling.
Cluster control is available as an option on several models, including the 880 Series, P18 and PM440. The best configuration depends on the number of presses, the job mix and the existing IT infrastructure, so it should be planned with our engineers.
