The PM440 is Injet Digital's fifth-generation roll-to-sheet inkjet press, designed for book, textbook and commercial printers that need to produce short and medium runs efficiently.
The platform uses 52 industrial printheads and reaches 150 m/min in high-speed mode, with a production mode of 100 m/min. Duplex registration is ±0.2 mm across a 436 mm imaging width, with an optional 469 mm width.
CCD inline inspection monitors print quality and registration during the run. The finishing section supports cut lengths from 140 to 660 mm, batch separation from 10 sheets and stack heights up to 240 mm.
ERP cluster control and high-speed data transmission allow multiple jobs to be queued and switched without stopping the press. High-concentration ink, three-way liquid cooling and automatic printhead maintenance are included to support continuous production.
